I especially like this fragment about the Pomodoro "budgets". I'm definitely going to try this.

Also totally agree that it's crucial to know your performance peaks. I wonder, did you use some method to define them precisely based on, for example amount of work done in specific hours throughout the years, or did it intuitively?

Great article! I really like the last bit of feedback loop, even if not all the tools you mention work, at least they serve as a basis to learn what does not work.

Also, yes, taking a break does feel tedious sometimes for the reason you mention, because it feels like breaking concentration

I use Promofocus app on Windows. It not only help us to focus. It is better for physical health too. On 5 mins break I just do a simple walk or stretch or think and then resume my work. I feel really productive now and focused.
